PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable generator improved in safety against falling when it is placed, and in storability when stored or conveyed on a vehicle. SOLUTION: This portable generator 11 includes a case body 12 covering a generator body 13, and wheels 23 for moving and a stand 24 for preventing falling arranged in the lower part 22 of the case body 12. It is further provided with a wheel drawing-in mechanism 66 drawing in the wheels to the outside of the case body 12 to a condition not drawn out from the surface of the case body 12 (a case rear plate outer surface 57, a case bottom plate outer surface 55a), and drawing out the drawn wheels 23 from the surface of the case body if necessary, and a stand drawing-in mechanism 67 drawing in the stand 24 to a condition not drawn out from the surface of the case body 12 (a case front plate outer surface 58, the case bottom plate outer surface 55a), and drawing out the drawn stand from the surface of the case body if necessary.
