摘要 PURPOSE: An ultrahigh sensitive magnetic permeability detecting apparatus using an atom magnetometer and a using method thereof are provided to reduce maintenance cost and facilitate maintenance by not consuming expensive refrigerant such as helium without low temperature refrigeration. CONSTITUTION: An ultrahigh sensitive magnetic permeability detecting apparatus using an atom magnetometer comprises an atom magnetic force unit(100), an activating magnetic field application unit(200), and a detecting unit. The atom magnetic force unit comprises a cell(110), an optical source part(120) and a bias magnetic field applying part(130). The cell is includes alkali metal atom receiving influence due to a magnetic field by sample. The optical source part polarizes alkali metal atom of the cell. The activating magnetic field application unit magnetically excites the sample. The activating magnetic field application unit is composed of a plurality of AC magnetic fields having predetermined frequency. The detecting unit measures the change of the magnetic polarization of the alkali metal atom and detects the magnetic permeability variation of the sample.
