PURPOSE: A silicon nitration ceramic composition material and a device for protecting a sensor measuring temperature of molten steel using the same are provided to control the compositional component of the protecting device and to increase the resistance to thermal shock and the mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: A silicon nitration ceramic composition material for protecting a sensor measuring temperature of molten steel comprises sintered compound 3.0-20.0 parts by weight, aluminum-nitride(AlN) 2.0-15.0 parts by weight, SiAlON 2.0-10.0 parts by weight and boron nitride(BN) 2.0-10.0 parts by weight based on silicon nitride 100 parts by weight including silicon(Si) and silicon nitride(Si3N4). The sintered compound comprises alumina(Al2O3) 1.5-10.0 parts by weight and yttria(Y2O3) 1.5-10.0 parts by weight.
