DRIVING APPARATUS OF ROBOT CLEANER

PURPOSE: A drive apparatus of a robot cleaner is provided to protect a power transmission unit and a shock absorbing unit with a casing, thereby preventing contact of the parts with foreign materials and malfunction of the parts. CONSTITUTION: A drive apparatus of a robot cleaner comprises a power transmission casing(12), a drive wheel(14), a cover frame(13), and a shock absorbing unit. The power transmission casing contains a power transmission unit which is connected to the output shafts of drive motors installed on both sides of a cleaner body. The drive wheel is connected to the output shaft of the power transmission unit which protrudes out of the power transmission casing. The cover frame is installed in a robot cleaner body to support the drive wheel and the power transmission casing. The shock absorbing unit is installed between the cover frame and the power transmission casing to elastically support the power transmission casing interlocking with the drive wheel.
