Estimating method for the consumed power of a compressor for refrigerant fluid at the start of an air-conditioning installation

The method involves calculating a pressure variation derivative of a refrigerant e.g. carbon dioxide, in a high pressure circuit of an air-conditioning system, after starting the system. A value of corresponding variation of mass flow of the refrigerant in the circuit is deduced. A mass flow of the refrigerant in a refrigerant expansion unit (12) is estimated. A mass flow of the refrigerant in a refrigerant compressor (11) is deduced by adding the value and the refrigerant flow in the unit. Power absorbed by the compressor is estimated from the mass flow of the refrigerant in the compressor.
