PURPOSE: A power train of a hybrid vehicle is provided to excellently secure the power performance and fuel efficiency and to improve the mounting efficiency by reducing the weight with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A power train of a hybrid vehicle is composed of a first planetary gear device(7), a second planetary gear device(9), a third planetary gear device(13), a first brake(15), a second brake(19), and a clutch(17). An engine(1), a first motor generator(3) and an output shaft(5) are respectively connected to different elements in the first planetary gear device. The second planetary gear device has one element directly connected to the element to which the output shaft of the first planetary gear device is connected. The second planetary gear device has the other element which is controllably connected to the first motor generator, in which the fixed state is convertible. Two elements are directly connected to the first motor generator and the remaining element is connected to a second motor generator(11) in the third planetary gear device. The first brake fixes the elements connected to the output shaft through the other planetary gear device of the elements of the second planetary gear device and the third planetary gear device and the elements except the elements controllably connected to the second motor generator. The clutch controllably connects the element connected to the output shaft of the second planetary gear device and the element except the elements connected to the first brake to the first motor generator. The second brake fixes the element of the second planetary gear device to which the clutch is connected.
