<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely preventing the deterioration of a toner image formed on the surface of a photoreceptor drum by properly controlling the residual component of toner adhering to the surface of the photoreceptor drum and preventing a cleaning blade abutting on the surface of the photoreceptor drum from being reversed. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus performing a reversal development process for removing residual toner while making the cleaning blade 48e1 abut on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 48a after transfer, humidity around the photoreceptor drum 48a is detected by a humidity detection part 66. The apparatus is equipped with a potential difference control part 68 controlling electrification voltage Vg or developing bias voltage Vb for the photoreceptor drum when the detected humidity is equal to or above the first predetermined humidity so that a potential difference (Vg-Vb) between the electrification voltage Vg and the developing bias voltage Vb for the photoreceptor drum may be a second potential difference (Vg-Vb)2 larger than a first potential difference (Vg-Vb)1 made when the detected humidity is under first predetermined humidity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
