PRESS TRANSFER SEAL FOR BEAUTIFYING TEETH AND METHOD FOR BEAUTIFYING THE SURFACES OF TEETH

A press transfer seal for beautifying the surface of a tooth which is produced by laminating a substrate and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with a wax layer put between both and which can beautify the surface of a tooth by applying the seal to the surface of a tooth with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer faced to the surface, pressing the resulting seal against the surface and then peeling the substrate to stick and transfer the wax layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to the surface, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is made from a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising both a pressure-sensitive adhesive component selected from among alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymers, (alkyl (meth)acrylate/diacetone acrylamide) copolymers, methyl meth- acrylate/butyl methacrylate/dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymers, and methyl methacrylate/ethyl acrylate/chlorotri- methylammoniumethyl methacrylate copolymers and a plasticizer and the surface of the substrate to come into contact with the wax layer is coated with a silicone. The surface of a tooth can be beautified by applying the seal to the surface with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer faced to the surface, pressing the seal against the surface, and then peeling the substrate to stick and transfer the wax layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to the surface. The invention makes it possible to impart a natural and fine color excellent in durability to the surface of a tooth by easy and simple operation.
