The present invention relates to a method for reducing crosstalk in optical networks comprising signals with different modulation data bit-rates wherein channel signals, having at least partially a common light path, are gathered in an optical band comprising a plurality of optical channel organized as an optical comb with a first and a second edge channels and wherein said edge channels have a predetermined modulation data bit-rate that corresponds to the lowest modulation data bit-rate existing among the signals of the optical band.
