PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing the gochujang by using a tropical fruit, and the gochujang using a tropical fruit prepared by the method are provided to produce the gochujang having novel taste. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing the gochujang by using a tropical fruit comprises the steps of cutting the tropical fruit whose seed and skin are removed by 0.5 ~ 3 cm(S101); mixing the prepared tropical fruit and sugar for 2 ~ 3 hours(S102); heating the mixture to boil it down for 4 ~ 5 at 60 ~ 90 °C until the contents have the viscosity of juk(S103); adding pectin to it after 3 ~ 4 hours pass from the boiling-down; mixing red pepper powder and salt with it(S104); and maturing it in the shade for 15 days(S105).
