<p>The device includes a forward feed for one cover at a time, and a component, which applies the covers on each container part. The applicator stops the forwardly fed cover and the container part whilst the application takes place, and then frees the container part with the applied cover. A closure unit (39) closes the cover crossways to its forward feed direction against an area of the container part opening edge. The applicator also incorporates a raisable and lowerable counterpiece (38) which engages beneath the cover edge part (63), clamping an area of it from below against the closure unit. The cover is then freed from its clamped position so that it may move forward with its container part.</p> |
