<p>A welding machine 1 for welding plastic profiles has at least one welding head 3 bearing two profile clamping units 4 which can be displaced in relation to each other in a clamping plane and have lateral holders 5 for releasably holding shims 6 assigned to the outer sides of the profiles, with a shim magazine 10 being provided for the shims 6 and a changing device 9 being provided and having grippers 12 which can be placed against the shims 6. To make automatic shim changing less complicated, the changing device 9 comprises a manipulator 11, which can be raised on the profile side next to the welding head 3 or between the welding heads 3 from the shim magazine 10, arranged underneath the clamping plane, to above this clamping plane and which accommodates the grippers 12 which can be moved transversely from a basic position towards the holders into an operating position, the shim magazine 10 forming shim receptacles 13 which can be optionally brought into a transfer position 14 and the arrangement of which in the transfer position 14 in relation to the manipulator 11 is adapted to the holder arrangement of the clamping units 4 located in a changing position. <IMAGE></p> |
