PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing an Internet service proper are provided to enable a user to obtain the information necessary to a corresponding area by providing a wireless Internet initial screen depending on the location of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: An Internet service providing apparatus(211) includes a communication unit(510), a location searching unit(520), a determination unit(530), a storage unit(540), a message checking unit(550) and a message managing unit(560). The determination unit determines the location of a terminal that requests the Internet connection based on a received first message, and the message management unit creates a second message corresponding to the determination result. The communication unit transmits the generated second message.
