PURPOSE: An automatic opening/closing device of a door for a refrigerator and a control method are provided to open and close the refrigerator door automatically by a piston, a motor, a control part, and an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION: An automatic opening/closing device of a door for a refrigerator comprises a piston(211), a motor(260), and a control part(250). The piston opens and closes inside of the refrigerator by moving the door. The motor moves the door by operating the piston. In case movement of the door is required, the control part operates the motor.
