METHOD FOR PREDICTING BATTERY LIFETIME OF MOBILE DEVICES BASED ON USAGE PATTERNS

PURPOSE: A method for predicting a battery usable time of a mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a user to use the mobile communication terminal efficiently by predicting the battery usable time on the basis of a battery power consumption and time series data for the battery used time which are defined by a terminal operation. CONSTITUTION: One or more battery statuses are defined by a terminal operation which affects on a battery power consumption. A data collector collects time series data as to a battery power consumption and a battery used time at each status(200). A battery used time ratio at every status is evaluated by the time series data(202). A battery usable time is predicted on the basis of a battery consumption velocity at every status and the battery used time ratio at every status(203). The status is defined by the standards including at least one, whether an LCD is available, or whether a voice communication is available, or whether a data communication is available.
