PERFORMANCE ALLOCATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A performance allocation method and a device thereof are provided to assign performance resources for a graphic process by monitoring frame data of rendered frames. CONSTITUTION: A performance assigning engine(107) monitors utilization for a graphic process for renderer frames. The performance assigning engine assigns performance resources for the graphic process by monitoring a frame rate of the rendered frames. The performance assigning engine assigns the performance resources a CPU as well as the graphic process. A GMC(Graphic/Memory Controller)(104) controls access to a memory from a processor(102) and an IOC(Input/Output Controller)(106). The performance assigning engine is implemented as executable instructions in a graphics processor driver. The graphic process is performed in a graphics processor(105).
