PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to prepare liquid crystal alignment film with excellent printability and no coating uniformity when applied to an ink jet printing apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent comprises at least one polymer and an organic solvent including a compound represented by chemical formula 1: RCOOR'. The polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid and its imidized polymer obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic diamine and diamine. In chemical formula 1, R is C1-2 alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl or C4-6 linear alkyl group; and R' is C5-12 branched alkyl group or alkoxy alkyl group or C5-10 alicyclic group when R is C1-2 alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl group. |
