The storage element (10p) has contacts (10q) for receiving and or transmitting data or has means for contact-less receipt and or transmission of data. The instrument (2) has a coupling to a provision line and consists of a coupling recess (8a) on the back of the instrument, or a coupling pin (8b) protruding backwards from the instrument. The storage element is contained in the sleeve wall (2a) enclosing the coupling recess, and is accessible from the inner casing surface of the sleeve wall or from the back annular end surface of the sleeve wall or is contained in the coupling pin from whose casing surface it is accessible.
