PURPOSE: An analog to digital converter, a display device including the same, and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the display quality by compensating for primitive brightness of a backlight using a brightness level of the backlight changed according to the brightness of the peripheral light. CONSTITUTION: An optical current integrator(920) integrates the optical current and stores the integrated current in a feedback capacitor with a voltage type. The feedback capacitor is connected between a first input node and an output node of an operational amplifier. A discharger(930) damps the output voltage with an exponential function. A comparator compares the damped voltage by the discharger with the reference voltage. The time in which the damped voltage reaches the reference voltage is linearly proportional to a log value of the optical current.
