<p>A fire protection and extinguishing device for a water-conducting domestic appliance. When a malfunction occurs that in the appliance that could potentially result in a fire, the device protects the appliance from further damage, prevents the danger of a fire starting and can extinguish a fire, which has already started. The device includes a fault current circuit breaker, which will disconnect the electric supply to the appliance, when a fault current occurs. The device further includes a gas sensor and a water sprinkler, which will disconnect the electric supply to the appliance and activate the water sprinkler, when a specific amount of control gas occurs in the appliance.</p> |
