The method involves inserting bearing grooves in a bearing upper surface by a process of electrochemical machining. A standardization function is provided for depth of individual bearing groove. A distance is provided between the electrochemical machining electrode and the bearing upper surface. A minimum width the leading structures are provided on the upper surface of electrochemical machining electrode. An independent claim is included for a fluid dynamic radial bearing, which has cylindrical bearing surface.
