PURPOSE: A method for mapping signaling information on announcement information and a broadcast receiver are provided to accurately receive content selected from a service guide using signaling information. CONSTITUTION: An MPEG-2 TP buffer/parser(203) buffers and restores an MPEG-2 TP. A PSI/PSIP(Program Specific Information/Program and System Information Protocol) section/buffer(204) buffers and analyzes PSI/PSIP section data transmitted through the MPEG-2 TS. A descrambler(205) uses an encryption key to restore payload data.
