PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant DNA molecule encoding a fusion protein comprising an SlpA chaperone and a target polypeptide, a corresponding expression vector encoding the fusion protein and a host cell transformed with the expression vector.

SOLUTION: Provided are a recombinantly produced fusion protein comprising an SlpA chaperone and a target polypeptide, and the use of the recombinantly produced fusion protein as a binding partner in immunoassay or a means for reducing interference.
