<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device with a meshing type engagement device for acquiring desired release characteristics in the case of releasing the meshing type engagement device. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of switching a dog clutch 50 installed in a driving device 1 with a dog clutch as a driving device with a meshing type engagement device from an engagement state to a release state, the learning correction quantity of the changing speed of the torque of a first motor generator 20 is determined according to driving conditions of an engine 15 so that the changing speed of the torque is corrected. Thus, in the case of switching the dog clutch 50 to the release state, the torque of the first motor generator 20 can be transmitted to the dog clutch 50 at a changing speed suitable for the driving conditions of the engine 15. Thus, even if the torque of the engine 15 changes according to the driving conditions, it is possible to set the dog clutch 50 to a release state by making torque suitable for the release of the dog clutch 50 act.
