<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladle lid carrying apparatus where a ladle lid is elevated to the opening part of each ladle supported to a turret at the upper part of a tundish in continuous casting equipment, so as to be arranged, the warm keeping of molten metal in the ladle is securely performed, also, the ladle is carried to a position free from the generation of trouble in the carrying-out of the ladle after molten metal supply, the structure and mechanism are simple, and also, operation is facilitated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ladle lid carrying apparatus 1 includes: a turret 2 horizontally revolving between a molten metal supply position at the upper part of a tundish T located in the upper edge of continuous casting equipment C and a waiting position on the level same as that, and supports ladles N1, N2 at both the edges in the longitudinal direction; a pair of running rails R arranged at the upper part of the turret 2 along the longitudinal direction; and a ladle lid cart 10 running on the pair of running rails R and elevatably supporting the ladle lid F covering the opening part of the laddle N1 at the molten metal supply position.
