<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator with improved water quality of drainage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The solid-liquid separator includes a container 18 having a built-in strainer 10 laminated with a ring 3, a scraper 16 scratching solid, an output port 20 opened to the side of the container 18 and an outlet 25 opened to the bottom, and a solid-liquid inlet 23 is opened to the side of the container 18 so as to face a notch 4 formed in the outer portion of the ring 3. A solid-liquid flows toward the clearances of the strainer 10 and enters the notch 4, leading to prevention of dissolution of fine solid in the liquid because there is no time for the solid to diffuse in the solid-liquid system. The solid having entered the notch 4 moves with the rotating strainer 10 and is removed by the scraper 16 and recovered from the output port 20.
