<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing for clutch release bearing device capable of preventing deterioration of communicating condition of a communication passage for releasing the inner pressure of a bearing by a lubricating component inside a sealed space when an outer ring is rotated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this ball bearing, a lubricating component 40 is sealed in a sealed space 31 formed between an outer ring 14 and an inner ring 15. The sealed quantity of the lubricating component 40 is set to be smaller than a static space volume existing outside in the radial direction than a communication passage 28, which is formed by a recessed part 33 formed in a main lip 18a of a rear side seal member 18 and an outer surface 24 of the inner ring 15, in the sealed space 31 by centrifugal force generated by rotation of the outer ring 14. The sealed quantity of the lubricating component 40 is set at 20 volume% or more of the whole space volume of the sealed space 31 and at 90 volume% or less of the static space volume of the sealed space 31.
