In order to reduce an installation space and to expand the degree of freedom in installation space, a seat mounted vehicle occupant restraint device includes a seat backrest 1B, a pair of airbags 11a and 11b respectively provided at positions within the seat backrest 1B such that during inflating, the airbags develop toward the sides of an occupant 2, one inflator 13 commonly supplying gas to the pair of airbags 11a and 11b, and an introduction pipe line 12 introducing the gas from the inflator 13 to the pair of airbags 11a and 11b.
