<p>A brake device for an elevator hoist, in which a brake shoe and a movable core are connected to each other by a connection member. The movable core is urged by an urging body in the direction in which the brake shoe makes contact with a rotating body. When electricity is supplied to an electromagnet, the movable core is moved against the urging force, exerted by the urging body, so as to be displaced in the direction in which the movable body separates from the rotating body. A retaining helical section is formed on either of the brake shoe and the movable core. The connection member has an adjusting helical section engaging with the retaining helical section. The position of the adjusting helical section relative to the retaining helical section is fixed by fixing means. The fixing means presses the adjusting helical section to the retaining helical section so that the brake shoe and the movable core approach each other, and by this, the position of the adjusting helical section relative to the retaining helical section is fixed.</p> |
