The material has a micro-fraction of soft magnetic material particles with a particle size in a range of 1 to 350 pico meter, and a nano-fraction of soft magnetic material particles with a particle size in a range of 10 to 200 nano meter. A ratio of the nano fraction to a total mass of the micro fraction and the nano fraction amounts to 5 to 70 weight percent, where the material is produced by spray drying, and comprises a synthetic binder such as polyethylene tetrafluoride or polyetheretherketone. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an object from a soft magnetic material.
