摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce gear shifting time when a gear stage two or more stages apart from a present gear stage is selected in a multi-mode type hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A control apparatus of the hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a motor generator, realizes three or more gear stages by switching between engagement and release of two or more engagement elements, and switches the gear stage by simultaneously engaging two or more engagement elements. When the gear stage two or more stages apart from the present gear stage is selected, a gear shift control means directly sets a gear stage two or more stages apart after performing control so as not to transmit power to the output shaft and controlling the rotation speed of the motor generator. That is, a desired gear stage is directly set after releasing two or more engagement elements to be a neutral sate.
