METHOD OF TREATING OR PREVENTING VASCULAR INFLAMMATION USING STEROL ABSORPTION INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating or preventing vascular inflammation or lowering the in-blood level of c-reactive proteins.

SOLUTION: This method of treating or preventing vascular inflammation includes administrating at least a sterol absorption inhibitor and/or at least a 5α-stanol absorption inhibitor or lowering the in-blood level of c-reactive proteins. In another embodiment, a method of treating or preventing vascular inflammation of a test subject or lowering the in-blood level of c-reactive proteins includes a process of administrating at least one sterol absorption inhibitor selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts or solvates to the test subject.
