<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely insert a coil in the coil embolization treatment of a cerebral aneurysm. <P>SOLUTION: A device for inserting a coil comprises a delivery wire driving section 10, a slave catheter driving section 20, and a controlling circuit 30. A platinum coil 100 for coil embolization is installed near the inlet of a Y-connector 131 so as to be able to advance and retract a delivery wire 110. The slave catheter driving device 20 is installed near the inlet of a Y-connector 132 so as to be able to advance and retract a slave catheter 124. The controlling circuit 30 controls the delivery wire drive section 10 so as to insert the delivery wire 110 with a predetermined insertion force. When the delivery wire 110 cannot be inserted, the controlling circuit controls the slave catheter driving device 20 to advance the slave catheter 124 after retracting the slave catheter and then controls the delivery wire driving section 10 to insert the delivery wire 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
