<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot arm having a dense surface and free from any recess or hole while keeping the strength of its holding means at the value same as or more than the conventional value. <P>SOLUTION: The robot arm includes a moving part to be driven by a power source, a fitting stand connected to the moving part and driven together with the moving part, and a holding means which is a hollow tube consisting of a fiber-reinforced resin material, extending from the fitting stand, fitted to its tube surface so that suction cups are communicated with the inside of the tube to suck and hold an article outside the tube by sucking the air in the tube. The holding means comprises a body part formed on the hollow tube, a lower sheath part for covering an inner circumferential surface of the tube of the body part, and an upper sheath part for covering an outer circumferential surface of the tube of the body part. The body part consists of a fiber-reinforced resin material with carbon fiber being reinforcing material.
