PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove only linear noise components without removing components that show human body structures.

SOLUTION: When components located in the direction of linear noises and showing the linear noises are extracted, pixel lines in a direction where linear noise components LN extend are divided into a plurality of pixel lines BL1 to BL3. Then medians M1 to M3 of the divided pixel lines BL1 to BL3 are each calculated, and a linear noise image NP is produced using the medians M1 to M3.
