PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for vending machine, which prevents an operation error of a commodity purchaser, and a switch device for vending machine for increasing the flexibility of layout between a commodity sample and a switch while maintaining excellent maintainability and waterproof/dust preventing effect. SOLUTION: The switch device 20 for vending machine includes a reflection type infrared proximity sensor 23 which detects approach and contact of a commodity user's fingertip onto a front panel 3 by infrared light quantity reflected from the fingertip. The approach and contact of the fingertip is detected in response to a change in infrared reflected light quantity of the sensor 23, and commodity selling operation is controlled stepwise in each detection.
