PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid container equipped with a detector, where inflow of air bubbles into the detector is restrained or prevented. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 1 includes a vertical communication path 400 connecting between an end chamber 390 for storing the ink and an air bubble separation chamber 410 for separating the air bubbles contained in the ink. The vertical communication path 400 includes: an inlet portion 401 where the cross sectional area of the flow path increases in the upward vertical direction toward the end chamber 309; and an outlet portion 402 where the cross sectional area of the flow path continuously increases toward to the air bubble separation chamber 410.
