PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously display contents in a Web system including multiplexed Web servers by reducing display of an error screen on a Web browser of a Web client device. SOLUTION: In the information processing system, a Web system 1 includes a plurality of Web server devices 210, and a Web client device 100 having a Web browser. The Web client device includes a monitoring means 120 which monitors operating conditions of the plurality of Web server devices by performing asynchronous communication with the plurality of Web server devices; and a display control means 130 which acquires, when it is detected by the monitoring means that the operation state of the standby Web server device is switched from standby to operation, a content related to processing passed from the main Web server to the standby Web server from the standby Web server device, and displays it in an area to be displayed on the Web browser.
