PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label-issuing device using a roll of labels capable of stably and exactly issuing a label in a predetermined position without being influenced by increase of the taking-up diameter in a release sheet taking-up section accompanying taking-up of the release sheet. SOLUTION: The label-issuing device comprises a holding part 2 rotatably holding a roll of labels 1 roll paper 1 consisting of labels 1b peelably pasted at a predetermined interval on a band-like release sheet 1a, a paying-out part 3 rotating the roll of labels in the holding part to pull out the release sheet, a peeling part 4 peeling the label from the pulled out release sheet by the operation of the paying-out part, and a release sheet-taking-up part 6 taking up the release sheet from which the label is peeled. The paying-out part 3 is located in the downstream side of the peeling part 4, and a braking force-applying means 7 is arranged between the paying-out part 3 and the release sheet-taking-up part 6 to apply friction force to the release sheet taken up by driving the release sheet-reeling part.
