PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rice hull plugging in a rice polishing apparatus by supplying rice hull to a coin-operated rice polisher exclusive for brown rice. SOLUTION: In the coin-operated rice polisher exclusive for brown rice provided with the rice polishing apparatus 14 polishing brown rice supplied to a brown rice supply hopper 16 by charging a coin, a rice hull/brown rice distinguishing sensor 21 distinguishing rice hull from brown rice, is provided in the brown rice supply hopper 16. When the rice hull/brown rice distinguishing sensor 21 distinguishes grains supplied to the brown rice supply hopper 16 as rice hull, the rice polishing apparatus 14 is controlled so as not to start.
