PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel-economy diagnostic device for diagnosing the vehicle state, regarding the fuel economy during vehicle travel. SOLUTION: This fuel-economy diagnostic device includes an interval fuel-economy calculating section for calculating interval fuel economy, based on the actual travel condition of the vehicle; a travel pattern identifying section for identifying the travel pattern of the vehicle based on the state of the vehicle; a fuel economy deterioration determination section for deriving the reference fuel economy, according to the travel pattern identified by the travel pattern identifying section and determining the deterioration of the fuel economy, based on the comparison result of the reference fuel economy with the interval fuel economy calculated by the interval fuel economy calculation section; and a reporting processing section for performing processing so as to report the deterioration in the fuel economy, when the deterioration of the fuel economy is determined by the fuel-economy deterioration determining section.
