PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical glass correcting the chromatic aberration of a lens with a higher degree of accuracy and having high transmittance for a light ray having a wavelength in the visible range, while having an Abbe's number (ν<SB>d</SB>) in a desired range, and a preform and an optical element using the same. SOLUTION: The optical glass contains 30.0-90.0 mol% of TeO<SB>2</SB>relative to the total amount of the glass of a composition expressed in terms of oxides, and has a partial variance ratio (θg, F) of 0.63-0.70 and an Abbe's number (ν<SB>d</SB>) of 13-27.
