<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device which is small-sized, is inexpensive, has high front brightness, and has narrowed light distribution characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-emitting device includes a semiconductor light-emitting element 1 having a light-emitting layer 12 and a semiconductor substrate 11 transparent to light L emitted from the light-emitting layer 12, a mounting substrate 2 for mounting the semiconductor light-emitting element 1 thereon, and an adhesive layer 3 which fixes the semiconductor light-emitting element to the mounting substrate 2. The light-emitting element mounting surface 2a of the mounting substrate 2 is made of a material having a high specular reflection rate against light L emitted from the light-emitting layer 12, and is formed into a rough surface 5 made up of an aggregate of fine irregularities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
