<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus for efficiently checking consistency of data when the data stored in a main storage during suspend are resumed. <P>SOLUTION: When turned off with a suspend/resume function enabled, a CPU 101 performs setting for generating a page fault interrupt upon access to page data arranged in a RAM 103. After turned on, when a page fault interrupt is generated upon access to the page data arranged in the RAM 103, the consistency of the page data is checked.
