<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel column fixing method which exhibits good workability by facilitating connection between a base plate of the steel column and an anchor member even if the anchor member is displaced to some degree from a predetermined position by an impact made by the placing of concrete. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This steel column fixing method comprises: a step of precedently embedding the anchor member 6 in the concrete structure 2 in such a manner as to position the anchor member 6 on the outside of a location wherein the base plate 4 of the steel column 3 is to be installed, in the concrete structure 2; a step of placing the base plate 4 of the steel column 3 on the concrete structure 2 in such a manner that the base plate 4 does not interfere with the anchor member 6; and a step of connecting the base plate 4 of the steel column 3 and an exposed portion 6a of the anchor member 6 together via a connecting member 8.
