PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving system, receiver, and receiving device by which a user can watch the same program continuously when changing a broadcast receiving apparatus. SOLUTION: The receiving device 2 sends a broadcast video signal received through a tuner 22 to a receiver 1, and the receiver 1 outputs the video on a video output portion 17 based on the video signal received from the receiving device 2. When the receiving device 2 stops sending the video signal while the receiver 1 is displaying the video corresponding to a broadcast received with the receiving device 2, the receiving device 2 sends a channel information indicating a broadcast channel received through a tuner 22 to the receiver 1, and the receiver 1 starts receiving a broadcast signal from a tuner 12 through a channel specified by the channel information received from the receiving device 2.
