PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for acquiring image data corresponding to a printed matter with high quality as a result of having had working given.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: an outline extraction means for extracting the outline of an image as the object of cutoff related with a prescribed image corresponding to image data to be printed; an image display processing means for making a display means display a prescribed image, and for making the display means display the outline extracted by the outline extraction means as a cutoff line; a cutoff line processing means for changing a designated prescribed section related with a cutoff line displayed at the display means so that it can be positioned on a face opposite to the surface or the backside on which the prescribed section of a recording medium is positioned; and an image data processing means for processing the cutoff line based on the results of change by the cutoff line processing means and any cutoff line other than the prescribed section and the prescribed image as latest image data as the object of printing.
