<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents leakage of electromagnetic wave noise regardless of variance in manufacture of each apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A noise detector 1702 detects wavelength of electromagnetic wave noise under control of a circuit board 1703. The circuit board 1703 is a generating source of the electromagnetic wave noise. A metallic plate 1704 slides in a direction shown by an arrow A along an inner wall surface of a housing 1701 by bend of artificial muscles 1705 and displacement of a rack 1709, and reflects the electromagnetic wave noise generated by the circuit board 1703. Assuming that a distance L between the metallic plate 1704 and the circuit board 1703 is (n/2)times as large as the wavelength λ of the electromagnetic wave noise (provided that n is an odd number), a phase of the electromagnetic wave noise incident on the metallic plate 1704 and a phase of the electromagnetic wave noise reflected on the metallic plate 1704 are shifted by half wavelength, whereby the electromagnetic wave noise is attenuated by their mutual interference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
