<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric inverter device that maintains the average value of the output voltage of the piezoelectric inverter device at a certain value optimal for driving the device and keeps low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric inverter device includes a piezoelectric transformer 1, a pre-booster transformer 2, a pre-booster transformer driving circuit 3, and a control circuit 5 for controlling the pre-booster transformer 2 and the pre-booster transformer driving circuit 3. The pre-booster transformer driving circuit 3 has a switching element including an FET for converting DC input voltage 4 into AC voltage 10, and is configured to light a cold cathode tube 7 as a discharge lamp connected to the output side of the piezoelectric transformer 1. The piezoelectric inverter device furthermore includes an output voltage detection circuit 8 of the pre-booster transformer for detecting the output voltage of the pre-booster transformer 2 wherein the output from the output voltage detection circuit 8 of the pre-booster transformer is input into the control circuit 5, the control circuit 5 having a function to control the average value of the output voltage from the pre-booster transformer 2 to be kept constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
