HEAT TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat a rotary furnace of heat treatment apparatus from the outside to control the rotary furnace at an ambient temperature permitting the stable combustion of combustibles of a scrap material, appropriately supply oxygen necessary for combustion to drastically reduce the amount of gas passing through the inside of the rotary furnace, and reduce the size of the apparatus and reduce an operating expense.

SOLUTION: The heat treatment apparatus is provided with the rotary heating furnace for heating the scrap material while being rotated; a scrap material supply port for supplying the scrap material to the rotary heating furnace; a supply gas passage for guiding outside air and re-combustion gas to the rotary heating furnace; a discharge port for discharging the scrap material heated and treated by the rotary heating furnace; a gas discharge port for discharging reaction gas generated in the rotary heating furnace; a re-combustion device for heating the reaction gas discharged from the gas discharge port to make the gas harmless; and a re-combustion gas passage and a bypass passage for circulating and supplying the re-combustion gas treated by the re-combustion device to the supply gas passage. The heat treatment apparatus is further provided with an induction heating type external heating device for separately heating the rotary heating furnace.
